Name: Geraldine Foley
Role: Headteacher
I started my teaching career in Liverpool way back in 1992. I moved to Cardiff in 1999 and was the Deputy Headteacher at Bryn Hafod and Headteacher at Greenway before landing my dream job at Marlborough in 2011.
Teaching is my vocation and I am so lucky to have a job that I find so rewarding and fulfilling.
Outside of school, I live with Paul my partner of 26 years and Rollo the school dog (and my trusty sidekick). I love being outdoors in nature, appreciating the beauty of the parks, forests, coastal footpaths and beaches.
I love running and belong to a local running club. Nothing quite sets me up for the day like a 6:00 a.m. club run!
My favourite place is Cornwall and I love sitting on Porthgwarra beach watching the seals in the sea.
I am a life-long The Archers fan and I enjoy catching up with events in Ambridge on Radio 4 every evening. I have very eclectic music tastes ranging from The Wedding Present, Bananarama, Sonic Youth to Daft Punk.
I am lucky that Paul loves cooking and is a very talented home chef. My favourite dish is toad in the hole.
My top character strength is appreciation of excellence and beauty.
These are a few of my favourite things!
